Room 315, Friday Afternoon
Jan. 8th, 2010 11:00 amWhen Leia returned to her room after class, she found a message from Winter waiting, insisting on an update on Fandom. She'd sent a brief message to Winter and her parents immediately after she arrived to let them know she was safely there, but she'd been putting off a more detailed report home because she wasn't sure what she should say. She flopped on her bed and mentally composed a letter to Winter.
Dear Winter,
I've survived my first week of classes. I'm taking Concepts of Law and Justice, Battles that Changed History, Ethics, and because Father must think it's a great joke, "Living with Difficult Women." There are several other girls in the class and I have the feeling we're going to be providing endless examples for the teacher.
This place is so different from the Alderaan Select Academy for Young Ladies. The obvious way? Boys. I think they outnumber the girls here, and some of them apparently like to walk around without their shirts on. Not that I'm complaining, of course. They're much nicer to look at than Madame Vesta. I've even gone out on two dates already. Oh, don't give me that look. I'm not doing anything stupid and I know how to take care of myself. I'm just making friendswith my lips.
Oh, that Ethics class I mentioned? You'll never guess who it's taught by. Anakin Skywalker. Yes, the Anakin Skywalker. And -- I hope you're sitting down -- he's my birth father. He refuses to tell me who my birth mother is. And he seems to think he automatically has the right to tell me what I can or cannot do. I have a feeling the man is going to be more infuriating than Tia, Rouge, and Celly put together.
Did I mention I also apparently have a twin brother? He's a Jedi, too. I don't know his name (see above regarding "infuriating"), but I have met his son, my nephew, also a Jedi.
And my own daughter from the future. I don't know if she's a Jedi, but I'm betting yes, since everyone else I've met from our galaxy seems to be.I think I'm kind of jealous.
Do me a favor and see if you can find out anything about someone named "Han Solo." No reason. Have to go now, miss you, wish you were here!
Love,
Leia
OK, maybe she shouldn't send something like that. She didn't want to run the risk of a transmission being intercepted, and if her parents found out they might worry and pull her from the school. She'd think of what to say later.
