Luke had gone missing in the icy wastelands of Hoth, and Leia had been frantic with worry. Fortunately, Han had found him and kept him alive, giving her another reason to be grateful for his continued presence.
She entered the medical center to check on Luke and found Han already there visiting, along with Chewbacca and C3P0. He fixed her with a grin. "Well, your Worship, looks like you managed to keep me around for a little while longer," he said.
"I had nothing to do with it," Leia said, rolling her eyes. "General Rieekan thinks it's dangerous for any ships to leave the system until we've activated the energy shield."
"That's a good story," Han said cockily, leaning back against Luke's bed. "I think you just can't bear to let a gorgeous guy like me out of your sight."
"I don't know where you get you delusions, laser brain," Leia shot back.
Chewbacca laughed at the banter, and Han gave him a look. "Laugh it up, fuzz ball," he said. He moved over to Leia's side and slipped an arm around her shoulders. "But you didn't see us alone in the south passage. She expressed her true feelings for me."
Leia glared at Han, jerking away from him. "My...! Why, you stuck up, half-witted, scruffy-looking...nerf-herder!" she seethed.
"Who's scruffy-looking?" Han said indignantly. He turned to Luke and leaned in close. "I must have hit her pretty close to the mark to get her all riled up like that, huh, kid?" Luke gave Leia a quizzical look, wondering if he was missing something.
"I guess you don't know everything about women yet," Leia said. Rather kiss a Wookiee, she'd told Han, and now she did just that, reaching up to grab handfuls of Chewbacca's fur to pull his head down so she could plant a kiss on him. Then she turned on her heel and stalked out of the medical center, leaving stunned silence behind her.
