Meanwhile, back in a GFFA....

Leia was light years beyond pissed off. She'd been up late the night before, gossiping with Winter about what she'd missed at home while she'd been away and telling her about life -- and the boys -- in Fandom. The morning had been spent lounging lazily in bed until the door burst open to reveal two of the Emperor's red-robed Royal Guards. "Princess Leia," one said. "You will come with us."
"How dare you!" Leia snapped. Her blaster was too far away; she hadn't expected a need to sleep with it close by here in her own home. "What is the meaning of this?"
"The Emperor has need of you," the guard said. "He requests that you serve as a Senatorial observer on the planet Kashyyyk."
So they weren't here to arrest her, at least. That much was a relief, but the "Senatorial observer" was likely just some sort of trick as well. "I would be honored to obey the Emperor's request," she said stiffly. "But I require time to pack and prepare for the trip."
"You have one hour," the guardsman said. The pair left the room, closing the door behind them.
Within minutes, Winter had slipped into her room through the door that adjoined hers to Leia's. "They arrived just now," she said. "They did not even present themselves to your mother before coming to your room."
"Where is my father?" Leia said. "He will not stand for this." Neither would she, but she didn't have many options at the moment. If she tried to flee, she'd likely be named a traitor and her family could suffer.
"He took a shuttle this morning and left Alderaan," Winter reported. "I don't know where he went, but I do not think he expected to be gone very long."
"But probably just long enough that he won't be back before I'm 'required' to leave," Leia muttered. "I only just got here! How did they know I was home?"
"They've probably been watching and waiting for you to return," Winter said.
"And I can't refuse this 'honor,'" Leia said. "I'll have to play along for now. Tell my father that they said they're taking me to Kashyyyk as soon as he gets back."
She couldn't help but wonder how Anakin would react if she somehow could get a message to him as well.

The guards continued the charade of treating her like a ambassador and not a prisoner as she was taken by shuttle to Kashyyyk, the Wookiee homeworld. She was already feeling sickened at the thought of the current enslavement of the Wookiees as the shuttle landed, and being greeted by Captain Ozzik Sturn made her stomach churn even worse. He was wearing a Wookiee pelt draped over his uniform and braids of Wookiee hair over his shoulder. Leia knew of his reputation as a hunter, and the fact that he hunted the natives of this world made her wish she had her blaster so she could shoot him and wipe the smug look off his face. But she'd been right to leave her blaster back on Alderaan; the guards had searched her belongings quite thoroughly for any weapons or communication devices. At least she had her R2 unit, but she suspected any transmission would be jammed.
"Princess Leia," Sturn said, taking her hand and bowing. "It's an honor to have you as our Senatorial observer for these facilities."
"You can drop the charade, Captain Sturn," Leia said coldly, yanking her hand back. "We both know I was sent here as a hostage to keep my father from speaking out against the Empire." It probably wasn't wise to provoke the person keeping her prisoner, but playing along only went so far.
Sturn just smiled. "Then we both understand the situation, Princess. If your father keeps his mouth shut, I'll keep you out of harm's way. If not...you'll become the unfortunate victim of a Wookiee uprising. These slaves are such mindless brutes, you know."
So this had nothing to do with being told her birth mother's name. That was good to know, at least, but it seemed the Emperor didn't want Bail Organa possibly inciting other senators to question him.
"I've prepared my personal quarters for you, your highness," Sturn went on. "I'm certain you'll find them quite comfortable."
Leia suppressed a shudder of revulsion. "I'm sure I will," she said.
