Room 315, Monday Afternoon

Leia had somehow managed not to have any wee visitors this weekend, which was actually a good thing since she'd been buried in work.
But she was finally taking a break (mainly so she didn't try to throttle one of the other senators she was opposing, which would've been impressive if she could've done it through a holograph) (then again, she was her father's daughter). The door was open.
[Open, particularly for wee GFFAers, since I was made of fail in getting Leia out this weekend.]

"Someone here wanted to see you," she called.

Date: 2011-02-15 02:15 am (UTC)Tahiri shook her head. "Leia, this is King Skywalker. Technically he's your great-nephew."
"Don't make her sound old, Mom," King chided.

Date: 2011-02-15 02:32 am (UTC)She crouched down to give him a hug. "It's very nice to meet you, King," she said. "Have you been having fun here?"

Date: 2011-02-15 02:40 am (UTC)He squirmed happily into the hug, reaching up to throw his arms around Leia's neck. "Dad tried to tell me to let you take me to the zoo."
Um, bad things happened when people let her do that. Sorry, Leia.

Date: 2011-02-15 03:07 am (UTC)Tahiri groaned. "King, that's not nice."

Date: 2011-02-15 01:07 pm (UTC)"He says," she began then faltered, "that things always get . . . interesting when you watch him."
"It's not always getting kidnapped," King clarified. There had been a few high-speed chases around Coruscant. Those were fun!

. . . only the Skywalker-Solo family. Seriously.

Date: 2011-02-15 06:06 pm (UTC)He took a breath.
"Lots of people."
Including her, but as the offspring of timeline-defying parents, he was perfectly aware that she probably shouldn't know that yet.

Date: 2011-02-15 09:04 pm (UTC)She also figured he'd stopped himself from naming her son Anakin, but she wasn't going to bring him up. That was still too weird and painful to contemplate.

Date: 2011-02-15 09:09 pm (UTC)"Lots of it," he said, though his eyes widened when he realized she knew about all that. "I don't like the political stuff."
He got that from both his parents, really.
"But that's okay. You're really really good at it," he added with the certainty of a boy who was convinced she could take on all the contentious governments in the galaxy and win. Just as long as she didn't take him to the zoo.

Date: 2011-02-15 02:48 pm (UTC)"Aunt Leia? I'm lost," she said plaintively.

Date: 2011-02-15 03:03 pm (UTC)Now this one definitely had to be Ben's as well, judging by the hair. "It's all right, I'll help you find your mommy and daddy," she said, going to the door and sinking down to the girl's level.
