Former princess and senator of Alderaan and rebel leader Leia Organa, now Sith Lady and representative of Coruscant in the newly reformed Imperial Senate, hadn't found any more answers about this place or a way to contact Lord Vader or the Emperor. She was determined to do so, however, and she fully intended to bring Skywalker's son with her as a present for her master.

In the meantime, at least, she'd found some cookies to nibble on. Chocolate, with dark chocolate chunks. Because when you embraced the Dark Side of the Force as she had, you always had cookies. It was one of the many, many perks.

[Err, mostly establishly because (a) I'm a GIANT DORK and (b) I'm about to head out of work and go home, where I may pass out for a nap because I was up 'til 3 AM coding the radio for all you crazy peoples. But if you're looking for Leia, feel free to ping and I'll get back to you. :)

ETA: Timing wise, the thread with Tahiri and Ben takes place last. Probably for soon to be obvious reasons.]

Ben hadn't gone back to his room, choosing to stay out in town where he could keep his lightsaber with him.

Now he drew closer, keeping his Force presence carefully tamped down, and watched what Leia was doing.

...Cookies? Really?

Dark delicious cookies. Weren't they so very tempting? Come to the Dark Side, Ben, and you could have all the cookies you wanted. And ice cream!

But since Ben was doing a good job of keeping his presence hidden, Leia didn't realize the prize she wanted to find was so close.

Ben wasn't sure what he wanted to do (other than not eat delicious Dark Side cookies), so he settled into his hiding place to watch Leia.

If she started doing overtly evil things, he'd have to come up with a plan that wasn't "be a stalker."

Tahiri had spent most of the weekend thus far ~~facepalming at her player's gigantic spazfest~~ holed up in her room, going over plans and hyperspace routes that were just about completely in place now; sensing everyone's discombobulation yesterday hadn't done much to discourage her from staying there.

But she had to get out sometime, in the interest of food that wasn't ramen or preservative-laden snack cakes, because she might as well enjoy the next few meals as much as possible.

She paused on her way out of the dorms to give Leia a smile. "Hey, Leia."

No, Tahiri, run. RUN.

Jo was wandering the grounds, looking for some more ~~poor saps to tape~~ people in need having the weekend immortalised. Someone needed to keep traditions alive.

She nodded to Leia, debating whether Luke would appreciate footage of an alternate version of his sister. "Hey."

Leia eyed Tahiri, wondering who she was and why she was being so familiar with her. But something about the girl disturbed her, so she decided to play along. "Hello," she said neutrally. "How are you today?"

Any footage of Leia from this weekend would be likely to make Luke flail. A lot.

Leia regarded the blonde coldly. "Do I know you?" she said.

Tahiri gave her a weird look. It wasn't that she hadn't seen Leia in neutral mode before, but it felt a little wrong somehow.

"Fine," she replied. "Are you okay? What's with all the cookies?"

Leia shrugged. "I was hungry, and it's what I found to eat," she said. She held out a cookie to Tahiri. "Would you like one?"

Ben couldn't exactly warn Tahiri without giving away his own location, so he sat there with his heart in his throat and watched until he could come up with a better plan.

. . . cookies should not set off her danger sense, and yet that was exactly what was going on.

"No, thanks," Tahiri replied, pulling her hand back from where she'd halted it mid-reach. "I should get an actual meal in sometime today. Are you sure you're all right? You seem awfully . . ."

Scary.

Okay, someone had had their bitchflakes this morning, and was definitely getting recorded.

"No, but I know you." She left off. 'Because I met an another version of you this one time when I was dating your brother'.

Leia was already dropping the cookie and grabbing for Tahiri's wrist before she could pull her hand back. "Who are you?" she demanded.

"Emperor's black bones!" Tahiri blurted out in the absolute worst possible choice of ~~WTF SW WTF~~ oath she could have gone with. It wasn't that she was new to Fandom weirdness, but this was Leia acting weird, and it freaked her out. "What's kriffing gotten into you?"

"I don't think the Emperor would appreciate you using his name that way, girl," Leia snapped. "I'm going to ask you one more time: who are you?"

That wasn't surprising, she being a very visible public figure and all, but this place wasn't Coruscant, and Leia wasn't letting her guard down at all. "What are you doing with that?" she said, eyeing Jo's camera.

"Nothing important," Jo replied casually. "Just stealing your soul."

Mock the Sith, Jo, that was a brilliant idea.

That's sort of the point, isn't it? was what Tahiri wanted to say, but she was actually getting a little better at impulse control, and that Yuuzhan Vong paranoia kicked in, in a useful way for once when it took the form of her looking for the meanings in people's words.

Which meant . . .

Sithspit. She tried to shunt her surprise aside for a more levelheaded approach.

"If you're asking me that question," she said evenly, "I think I should be concerned about answering it."

Leia's default "bitch, please" expression grew even bitchier, if that was possible, and she raised a hand and clenched her fist, intending to use the Force to apply juuuuust enough pressure to Jo's throat for her to feel it. "Would you care to answer that question again?" she said.

Leia tightened her grip on Tahiri's wrist and moved her free hand to the hilt of her lightsaber. "Where's Skywalker?" she said. "Tell me, and I may be inclined to overlook your disrespect of the Emperor."

Yeeeeah, threats didn't really make Jo want to be helpful. Even when it would be in her best interest.

"Not really."

"Which one? I can't help you if you're not going to be more specific than that . . . assuming I'm going to help you, anyway." Some future version of her had no problem giving attitude to a judge intent on sentencing her to death for treason, so it wasn't a surprise she'd give attitude now. Tahiri noticed the movement; her eyes followed Leia's hand, and she turned slightly pale.

"I know that lightsaber."

"Then I suggest you leave my sight," Leia said, "before I feel inclined to summon the Imperial guard to have you removed." Not that there were any around, but.

"Skywalker's son," Leia said, which admittedly didn't narrow it down much either. "Ben. I will find him, with or without your help."

At Tahiri's recognition of her weapon, she took the lightsaber in her hand and ignited it. ~~Never mind the red in the icon, it was totally blue.~~ "Do you now?" she said. "It was given to me by my Master after he executed its former owner."

"Hate to break it to you, but we don't really have those around these parts."

Obviously pride was more important than oxygen at this point.
